Special Thanks is my ongoing experimental footwear project, expected to launch in 2026.  I’m working on the creative direction, shaping the world around the shoes as much as the shoes themselves. It’s a project about interaction, ritual, and the strange intimacy that comes from having to break something before you can use it.

The first piece is a pair of leather boots that arrive connected to each other, unable to be worn without permanent alteration. They ship with custom etched scissors; the wearer must cut the shoe apart to make it usable. This small act of destruction is also the beginning of ownership. The final act in the making of the shoe comes from the wearer: a private performance rendering each pair one-of-one.
