Handbag design
This is a 6-piece collection of handbags, made primarily in jute and wood. As a collaboration with Manoj ji - my local carpenter back home. Jute is native to India and has been used for packaging for hundreds of years, owing to its fiber strength and tensile strength. The cultivation of this fiber uses minimal to no pesticides and it grows in naturally rain-fed regions. It is biodegradable, breathable and extremely durable. The wood used here is reclaimed, and gets a second life as part of these pieces.
